indranÈla-maÊi-maÎjula-varÊaÛ

phulla-nÈpa-kusumÄÎcita-karÊaÛ

kÅßÊalÄbhir akÅÃorasi hÄrÈ

sundaro jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

indranÈla--sapphire; maÊi--jewel; maÎjula--charming; varÊaÛ--color; phulla--blossoming; nÈpa--kadamba; kusumÄÎcita--with flowers; karÊaÛ--ears; kÅßÊalÄbhir--with garlands of guÎjÄ (berries or small conchshells); akÅÃa--decorated; urasi--chest; hÄrÈ--charming; sundaro--handsome; jayati--all glories; kuÎja--in the forest; vihÄrÈ--who enjoys transcendental pastimes.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. His complexion is as splendid as sapphires, He wears kadamba-blossom earrings, and His broad chest is decorated with a garland of guÎjÄ.

rÄdhikÄ-vadana-candra-cakoraÛ

sarva-ballava-vadhÝ-dhÅti-cauraÛ

carcarÈ-caturatÄÎcita-cÄrÈ

cÄruto jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

rÄdhikÄ--of RÄdhÄ; vadana--of the face; candra--the moon; cakoraÛ--the cakora bird; sarva--all; ballava-vadhÝ--the gopÈs; dhÅti--the peacefulness; cauraÛ--stealing; carcarÈ--carcarÈ; caturatÄÎcita--with skill; cÄrÈ--doing; cÄruto--expertly.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. He is the cakora bird who drinks the moonlight of ãrÈ RÄdhÄ’s face. He steals away the composure of all the gopÈs. Skillfully clapping His hands in the rhythm known as carcarÈ, He dances very gracefully.

dhvaÞsanena hÅta-vÄsava-garvaÛ

go߯ha-rakßaÊa-kÅte giridhÄrÈ

lÈlayÄ jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

sarvataÛ--everywhere; prathita--famous; kaulika--of the family; parva--the sacrifice; dhvaÞsanena--by stopping; hÅta--taken; vÄsava--of Indra; garvaÛ--the pride; go߯ha--Vraja; rakßaÊa--protection; kÅte--for the purpose; giridhÄrÈ--lifting Govardhana Hill; lÈlayÄ--playfully.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. After stopping His relatives from performing the famous Indra-yajÎa sacrifice, He removed Indra’s pride and protected the people of Vraja by playfully lifting Govardhana Hill.

vibhrameÊa madanotsava-ÃaÞsÈ

stÝyamÄna-caritaÛ Ãuka-ÃÄrÈ-

ÃreÊibhir jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

rÄga--of melodies; maÊÐala--with a circle; vibhÝßita--decorated; vaÞÃÈ--the flute; vibhrameÊa--with pastimes; madanotsava--the festival of love; ÃaÞsÈ--praising; stÝyamÄna--being praised; caritaÛ--pastimes; Ãuka--the male parrot; ÃÄrÈ--the female parrot; ÃreÊibhir--by the multitudes.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest—pastimes that are glorified by the male and female parrots. By decorating His flute with many beautiful melodies, He glorifies the festival of His transcendental amorous love.

ÃÄtakumbha-ruci-hÄri-dukÝlaÛ

keki-candraka-virÄjita-cÝlaÛ

navya-yauvana-lasad-vraja-nÄrÈ-

raÎjano jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

ÃÄtakumbha--of gold; ruci--the splendor; hÄri--eclipsing; dukÝlaÛ--garments; keki--peacock; candraka--feather; virÄjita--splendid; cÝlaÛ--crown; navya--new; yauvana--youth; lasad--glistening; vraja--of Vraja; nÄrÈ--the girls; raÎjano--delighting.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. The luster of His silk garments eclipses the glory of gold. The top of His head is decorated with a peacock feather. He pleases the splendid girls of Vraja.

sthÄsakÈ-kÅta-sugandhi-paÆÈraÛ

svarÊa-kÄÎci-pariÃobhi-kaÆÈraÛ

rÄdhikonnata-payodhara-vÄrÈ-

kuÎjaro jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

sthÄsakÈ-kÅta--anointed; sugandhi--fragrant; paÆÈraÛ--sandal paste; svarÊa--golden; kÄÎci--belt; pariÃobhi--splendid; kaÆÈraÛ--hips; rÄdhikÄ--of ãrÈ RÄdhikÄ; unnata--beautiful; payodhara--face; vÄrÈ--ropes; kuÎjaro--elephant.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. He is anointed with fragrant sandal paste. His hips are decorated with a golden belt. He is the elephant bound by the rope of the beautiful face of ãrÈ RÄdhikÄ.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. His forehead is splendid with golden tilaka made from mineral pigments. His campaka garland moves to and fro in His pastimes. He meets the beautiful-eyebrowed gopÈs in the palatial caves of Govardhana Hill.

vibhramoccala-dÅg-aÎcala-nÅtya-

kßipta-gopa-lalanÄkhila-kÅtyaÛ

prema-matta-vÅßabhÄnu-kumÄrÈ-

nÄgaro jayati kuÎja-vihÄrÈ

vibhrama--playful; uccala--moving; dÅg--eyes; aÎcala--corners; nÅtya--dancing; kßipta--cast aside; gopa-lalanÄ--gopÈs; akhila--all; kÅtyaÛ--household duties; prema--with love; matta--intoxicated; vÅßabhÄnu--of king VÅßabhÄnu; kumÄrÈ--the daughter; nÄgaro--the hero.

All glories to ãrÈ KÅßÊa, who enjoys transcendental pastimes in VÅndÄvana forest. His dancing sidelong glances make the gopÈs drop all their household duties. He is the charming lover of VÅßabhÄnu’s daughter, who is mad with love for Him.

a߯akaÞ madhura-kuÎja-vihÄri-

krÈÐayÄ paÆhati yaÛ kila hÄri

sa prayÄti vilasat-para-bhÄgaÞ

tasya pÄda-kamalÄrcana-rÄgam

a߯akam--eight verses; madhura--charming; kuÎja--in the forest; vihÄri--enjoying transcendental pastimes; krÈÐayÄ--with pastimes; paÆhati--reads; yaÛ--one who; kila--indeed; hÄri--beautiful; sa--he; prayÄti--goes; vilasat--splendid; para-bhÄgam--virtues; tasya--of Him; pÄda--feet; kamala--lotus; arcana--worship; rÄgam--love.

He who reads these eight verses, which are beautified by the Lord’s charming pastimes in the forest, will attain many splendid transcendental virtues. He will become attached to the service of the Lord’s lotus feet.
